Students can publish poems using PowerPoint or any number of other digital tools. They need not limit publications to simply poems; they could use any piece of writing to publish in PowerPoint (even science reports!).

Publish "I Am From" Poems in PowerPoint

I have used this lesson with teachers several times, always starting by writing the "I Am From Poem" first and then moving to PowerPoint or another digital medium. Are their reasons why we should begin with text first rather than composing directly in the digital format?
